How Mascot Tape Was Born

Mascot Tape started the way many great ideas do… with a poster on the floor.

After six years as a high school Activities Director, I had tried everything: cheap blue tape from online orders, expensive name-brand tape, tape in the corners, or rolling little tape “donuts,” hiding tape behind posters so it wouldn’t show…..

The result?
Posters that looked great in the afternoon… and were on the ground by morning.

Then came the breakthrough: posters stay up better when you frame them with tape instead of hiding the tape behind them!

Problem solved… almost.

Because now there was blue tape outlining every poster—and it definitely didn’t match our school colors.

With no options of colors to be found in the right size width, Mascot Tape was created.

Now schools can frame posters in their own colors, show off school pride, create cleaner displays, and keep posters where they belong—on the wall.

Because the only thing that should be dropping at school… is the mic at the rally.
